Old Town Temecula Rod Run

by Jon on October 9, 2010

Here’s a bit of a departure from “business as usual” just for fun.

I attended one of this year’s semi-annual “Rod Runs” today in Old Town Temecula and took almost 600 photos.  Had a great time in spite of getting a bit sunburned.

Here are just a few of my favorites.  Most of them are cars from the ’50’s and 60’s, with a couple of exceptions.  These bring back lots of memories for me; and I’m sure they will do that for some of you as well.  I hope they are good memories for you.   Turn up your sound and enjoy!

Thanks! Yes, lots of memories there for sure. Some tug at one’s heart a little bit, huh?

Thanks Tom! Sorry to say I didn’t see mine there. I used to have a ’55 Ford Victoria, 2-door hardtop. Small V8, three speed with overdrive. Should heard those glass packs! Wow! Man oh man, do I wish I still had that puppy! 🙂

Holy Cow! You’ve been busy. Great photos on the rods. Which ones are yours?

Thanks! Glad you liked the pictures. Not sure what I’m going to do with the other 550 or so photos! 🙂
I have just learned that this is actually a semi-annual event. Apparently another car club also comes here once a year. I think the two clubs were once one huge club that split; and now they have this event every six months or so, alternating factions.
